How does Teen Driving Watch work:
The Teen Driving Watch proactive solution is a simple bumper sticker placed on a teen’s car with a toll free number and a unique code. This works because people, instinctively change their behavior to avoid negative immediate consequences. For teen drivers, it can be something as straight forward as losing their driving privileges, which represents a loss of freedom to them. We accomplish this supervision by asking the community to report reckless teen driving. As one police officer put it, "Teen Driving Watch is like Neighborhood Watch on wheels."

Any member of the community who observes a teen driving recklessly can simply call the Teen Driving Watch Hotline number located on the bumper of the car that the teen is driving, enter the unique ID number assigned to that car, and leave a voice message about the teen's driving behavior. All calls are anonymous and the recording is relayed to the parents of the teen in seconds through pre-determined phone numbers and email addresses.

Because parents hear the actual recording of the message about their teen's driving behavior, they can make their own judgment about the seriousness of the issue and the credibility of the caller. Another unique advantage of the Teen Driving Watch Parental Notification System (patent pending) is the speed in which it contacts parents allows the parent to call their teen's cell phone or pager and intervene when the reckless driving behavior is actually occurring.

If the parent's contact phone is busy, or is not answered, the Parental Notification System will leave a recorded message on the parent's voicemail system and immediately call a secondary phone number provided by the parent. In addition, the recorded message will be sent as a voice 'attachment' to multiple email addresses provided at the time of enrollment.

Peer pressure to drive recklessly is no longer an issue your teen has to deal with when your car is enrolled in Teen Driving Watch. All a teen driver has to say when taunted by peers to drive recklessly, or let someone drink alcohol in the car is, "I can't, I have that bumper sticker on the car."

Teen Driving Watch also helps law enforcement enforce the Graduated Drivers License laws. When parents enroll in Teen Driving Watch, they can check a box that indicates that their teen driver is driving on a provisional license. We then send out an additional 2"x4" " P" decal that identifies the teen driver as a provisional driver. This decal aids law enforcement in enforcing Graduated Driver's License laws because they can now identify who is driving on a provisional driver's license from a distance. Parents are no longer burdened with the task of enforcing provisional driving restrictions on their teens; Teen Driving Watch helps enable law enforcement to enforce these life saving laws.
